Mango Passion Fruit Sago

A sweet tropical pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 cup small sago pearls
  • 6 cups water
  • 1/2 can sweetend condenced milk
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 mangoes reserve half to blend with the milk mixture
  • 4 fresh passion fruit pulp
  • 1 cup frozen passion fruit juice chunks I found these in the freezer section of my grocery store.

Instructions

Sago

  • First, add 6 cups of water to a pot and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add 1 cup of tapioca pearls. Stir frequently for 15 minutes, then strain and rinse the pearls thoroughly. Transfer the tapioca pearls to a large bowl and set aside.

Pudding

  • First, peel and dice 4 mangoes. Add half of the diced mangoes to a blender along with the pulp of a passion fruit, 1 cup of milk, and 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk. Blend the mixture well. In a large bowl, combine the blended milk mixture with the tapioca pearls and 1 cup of frozen passion fruit juice chunks.
  • You can serve immediately, but I recommend refrigerating for at least an hour so it has time to set and chill.
